This is a very old fossil, I believe an ammonite shell, mounted to a base.
The shell measures about 4.75" tall, 5" wide. The base is 3.5" in diameter.
Shell has several different colors and has an iridescent and slightly shiny appearance. With it mounted it would make not only a unique display piece but could be used as a paperweight also as it weighs 2.5 pounds. Please see all photos. It will be back very well to arrive safely.
