A 1951 vintage Woman's Day chart to identify civil and military aircraft by aviation artist Clayton Knight. Measures 22" x 17.25" high. The bottom left corner reads: Copyright 1951, Woman's Day, Inc. New York, N.Y.
Heavy poster paper chart shows many airplanes used in the US Air Force, Navy and for civil use. The areas in red are the distinguishing characteristics of each aircraft. There is also a chart giving the length, wing span, top speed and ceiling of each.
I don't know how this was acquired, if it came with a Woman's Day magazine issue subscription or if it was something a subscriber had to send away to receive.
Condition: Each corner has tack holes from hanging, and the upper right corner is stained and torn as shown. There are also numerous creases/bends in the poster from years of use and storage.
