This is a vintage Volksmarine East German Navy hat. Inside the top of the hat is NVA 56 1856 H. The hat brim is misshapen. The wool has picked up some lint, and there is some piling and very minor soiling. The ribbons have some soiling, most noticeable on the back band. Some fraying at the angle cut ends of the ribbon.
