Uncle Remus His Songs & His Sayings by Joel Chandler Harris. 1881 New York D. Appleton and Company. This one is green with the gold gilt rabbit on the front. It has the correction made of "presumptuous" on page 9 and does have an ad for this book at the back.

The book is not in the best shape. There is wear to the spine, the binding is loose and a front section is nearly separated from the spine. The tissue in front is still in place but torn, as is the illustrated page torn completely out across from it. There are two names, one in pencil one in pen written on on of the blank front pages. Another page has a number, price and initials written. The inner pages of the book have discoloration. The back ad pages have edge tears in one spot in varying degrees. Generally the binding appears to be rather fragile throughout the whole book.
