Piccoli, a 1953 First edition hard cover book, as stated (see picture 4), by Philippe Halsman. Illustrated by Paul Julian. Hardback with dust jacket. DJ has $3.00 price at the bottom right inside flap. It measures 9.25" x 6.25".
The dustjacket shows quite a bit of wear with a few pieces gone (worst at bottom of spine and top right back), small tears along edge and general rubbing along edges etc. (see pic 3).
The book has some wear at corners and along edges, worst is at bottom spine (see pic 5 last image). Page 36 & 57 have small tears at bottom centers about 1/2 long and there is a small light yellowish stain at center of binding between pages 84 & 85. Other than that the inside is in overall excellent condition with just normal light stress lines here & there from being read.
Overall it is a good solid copy of this rare book!
