This is the original 1899 first edition hard cover of Father Goose His Book with the verse by L. Frank Baum and pictures by W. W. Denslow. Published by Geo. M. Hill Co. Inside the front cover is a small newspaper clipping about Denslow and it is also inscribed in pencil from 1899.
Book measures 9.25" x 11.25" tall.
Condition: Book is in rough shape. Cover has tears, tape and corner bends. Pages have minor soiling and small stains throughout, mainly on the white borders. Some pages show splitting from the spine, but none are loose. 6 pages have tears, of which I've photographed the worst. Please see all photos and assume worse than it looks and you should be happy.
