A chrome metal Mack Truck ashtray featuring a bulldog. Marked Mack, Design Patent 87931 on the chin and chest of the dog. I believe this is for cigars.
Measures 7.25" diameter and about 5" tall. Made in the USA by Central Die Casting & Mfg. Co., Chicago.
The bulldog is a little loose, but possibly could be tightened by unscrewing the base and seeing if it can be secured from inside. Some scratches to the dish, as well as discoloration to the area where the cigarette or cigar would rest. Bulldog figure has a few minor marks. Please see all photos.
