Vintage 1935 American Optical Company Catalog True Vision, Saleman Eyewear, Eyeglasses, Lenses, Ophthalmologist Equipment
This is a vintage True Vision American Optical Company notebook of individual salesman catalogs for eyeglasses, lenses and accessories from 1935. Each catalog has a tab in the binder except for the first which I assume is information about the company. You get the following catalogs:
American Optical Company - This one has been turned it into a scrapbook of patterns to cross stitch as seen in the second photo, making most all of this 12 page catalog unreadable.
Lens Prescription Catalog - November 1935 - First 3 of 26 pages have patterns glued to the pages.
Gold Filled Spectacleware Catalog - November 1935 - 56 pages
Solid Gold Spectacleware Catalog - August 1935 - 12 pages
Zylonite Spectacleware Catalog - August 1935 - 16 pages
Oxfords, Chains & Reels Catalog - August 1935 / November 1935 - 22 pages
Spectacle and Eyeglass Cases Catalog - August 1935 - 20 pages
Ophthalmological Instruments and Equipment Catalog - August 1935 - 93 pages
Optical Specialties Catalog - August 1935 - Binoculars, etc. - 26 pages
Condition: There is rust on the notebook. The catalogs have had moisture at some point causing some waving of the pages and some discoloration/soiling from age and use.
