This is an antique 1930s or earlier Santa Claus I believe to be a Belsnickel type. He stands about 7.75" tall to the top of his red hat. He has a hook for hanging but it may not be original to him.
He is a lightweight material, possibly papier-mâché or some other thin material. He is stuffed with straw or similar type of filling.
Condition is a little rough. He has a wire coming out of the bottom of his right foot and bent up around the ankle that I am not sure of the reason. He can stand on a flat surface unsupported. He has some light general soiling. His mustache has a pinkish spot on it. Wear to the legs and feet. Please see all photos.
